With her new album, ‘ConTempoRary Violin’, violinist An Vedi takes unconventional musical chances. The new 17-track record is a solo violin performance that brings a different type of approach to some of the most celebrated compositions from throughout the world.
This record’s ability to impart a sense of purity to the listener is the record’s most attractive quality. In addition, it possesses a raw quality throughout and a texture that is distinctive compared to other releases made today. Also, coming across an album comprised entirely of the violin is not frequent. Given that the violin is often enhanced by being accompanied by other sounds, many people believe that this concept should not work out very well at all. But, it is not the case here, and it sounds excellent as it is!
