Cloud returns with a powerful new offering in “In My Dream,” a rock single now available across all major streaming platforms. Teaming up with guitarist Luis Gerardo Moreno and drummer Alex DP, Cloud delivers a track that stands firmly within the modern rock landscape while nodding to the raw spirit of the genre’s ’90s icons.
From the outset, the song pulses with tension, an intentional play between dream states and reality. Cloud’s lyrics drift between the surreal and the sincere, exploring how imagination can both elevate and destabilize. It’s a theme that carries emotional weight, capturing the duality of dreams: their potential to inspire and their capacity to haunt.
Musically, the track is driven by dynamic guitar builds that evolve across three distinct sections. Moreno’s guitar work grows louder and more expressive at pivotal moments, mirroring the song’s internal push-and-pull. This intensity is anchored by Alex DP’s commanding drum performance, which locks the arrangement together and injects the track with a tight, unified energy.
The influence of Nirvana can be felt throughout, not as imitation, but through an embrace of contrasts: loud vs. quiet, stillness vs. movement, soft reflection vs. eruptive release. Cloud taps into this tension effectively, creating a sonic landscape that feels both familiar and refreshingly personal.
“In My Dream” stands as another strong step forward for Cloud, showcasing artistic growth, sharp collaboration, and a clear vision. It’s a track that lingers long after the final chord fades.
