Ervin Munir’s third studio release, “When I Think,” is out now, and it’s a striking step forward for the Norfolk folk singer-songwriter. The record feels less like a collection of tracks and more like a series of intimate conversations set to music. From the fragile opening of “Lifeline” to the reflective close of “Live And Learn,” the album shifts effortlessly between tender piano passages and bursts of guitar-driven energy, keeping listeners on their toes.
The title track, “When I Think,” stands at the heart of the record, now accompanied by an animated video that brings its most personal moments vividly to life. Songs like “Rainfall Memories,” “I Don’t Care,” and “One Step Beyond” reveal Munir’s ability to balance raw vulnerability with musical ambition every track feels essential, like it had to exist.
Underlying the music is a moving tribute: the album is dedicated to the late Aeron Z Jones, Munir’s long-term producer and close friend, whose creative influence shaped much of Munir’s sound.
