Jay Ebby East – ‘Supersonic’

With his new cover of Oasis’ ‘Supersonic’, Jay Ebby East has once again become the man of the moment. This revised version captures the original vibe while also adding a contemporary edge.

The Essex singer has been honing his compositions and coming up with new ideas for his upcoming albums during his lockdown days. While working on new original tunes, it appears that he enjoys surprising his listeners with a treasure that he credits with supplying him with a great deal of inspiration throughout his life. Jay, who has defied all obstacles to become a star in the current music industry, is known for giving back to the community, and this track is no exception!

Jay smashes the vocals on ‘Superosnic’ with ease, as he always does. It’s not easy for an artist to come up and cover a stadium anthem-like ‘Supersonic,’ but Jay pulls it off with ferocious fire here! His tone complements the original, and while he employs many of the same tactics as Liam Gallagher did decades ago, he sounds pristine and modern, adding a new depth that fans of the song will appreciate.

The guitars are daring, and the drums have a rock and roll bite to them! It’s riff-rock at its finest, and given how saturated the industry is with mainstream pop these days, it’s refreshing to hear this gem resurface! The arrangement does not change dramatically, but Jay and his producer excel at reinventing the track’s second half. Furthermore, the solo receives a fresh new ending, and the closing section delivers even more triumph!
