Julia Thomsen and Raphael Beaudon – ‘Meet You In Nottinghill’

Julia Thomsen and Raphael Beaudon have released their debut collaborative single, “Meet You In Notting Hill,” out now on all major streaming platforms.

The neo classical piece pairs Beaudon’s piano with Thomsen’s string arrangements, building a sound that feels both cinematic and quiet at once. Though the two composers had never worked together before, their approaches line up naturally, with Beaudon’s playing forming the emotional center of the track and Thomsen’s strings adding warmth and depth around it.

The song takes its time. Rather than rushing toward a climax, it unfolds slowly, giving each phrase room to settle before moving forward. That patience is part of what gives the piece its character, a reflective, unforced quality that mirrors the quiet moments it was inspired by.

Thomsen, who usually takes the lead on piano in her own work, stepped back for this release. “Usually it’s me who does most of the piano,” she said. “But not this time. I was very honored to add my touch to something Raphael led so beautifully.”

“Meet You In Notting Hill” marks a first meeting between two distinct musical voices, one built on restraint, patience, and a shared sense of atmosphere. It is available now wherever music is streamed.
