Brixton band The Here And Now have released “Riptide”, and it’s an absolute storm of a track. From the very first riff, the song grabs you guitars cutting sharp, drums driving, and Cherry Terzza’s vocals commanding attention with a mix of power and vulnerability.
The lyrics fit the title perfectly. “Riptide” is about that irresistible pull toward something you know might not be good for you. The push and pull in the music mirrors the theme moments of tension and release keep you hooked from start to finish.

Jason Bond’s guitar work hits hard, Rich Sackey-Addo’s drumming keeps everything moving, and Callum Lowe’s bass holds it all together. Cherry’s voice sits on top perfectly, switching between intimate vulnerability and full-on rock energy when the song demands it.
The Here And Now have been building a reputation on the London gig scene since 2020, and you can hear why. “Riptide” carries that live energy heavy when it needs to be, melodic when it counts. You can catch echoes of Paramore, Queens Of The Stone Age, and Royal Blood, but it’s very much their own sound.
In short, “Riptide” is a punchy, hook-filled rock track that doesn’t let go. It’s out now, and if you’re into guitar-driven, high-energy rock, this is one to dive into.
