It is the first time I have come across THELIGHTS, the duo from London. Their PR introduced me to them and their new song, “RUSH” and it does exactly what it says on the tin, it creates an endorphin rush. The song enters a new dimension within the electronic hemisphere with a pathway that twists and turns.
There is a haunting aura with pulsating synths emerging with echoey vocals. Also, the structure changes keep me on the edge of my seat eager to hear what is coming next. There is a thumping drum beat creating a foundation for multiple sound layers and the duo take me far from my seat, gradually bringing me back in the closing section.
