Vinyl Floor – The Swan Of Eileen Lake

Vinyl Floor return with their new single “The Swan of Eileen Lake”, out now, and it’s a track that quietly unfolds into something far more emotionally complex than it first appears. What began as songwriter Thomas Charlie Pedersen’s attempt to capture a moment of overwhelming beauty gradually evolved into a deeper reflection on joy, uncertainty, and the subtle pull of envy.

Lyrically, the song paints a portrait of youthful power and promise a young woman poised to take on the world, unaware of the hearts she may one day break along the way. There’s a gentle tension running through the narrative, balancing optimism with vulnerability, which gives the track its emotional depth without feeling overbearing.

Musically, “The Swan of Eileen Lake” is built around elegant piano lines and richly stacked vocal harmonies, creating a warm and immersive atmosphere. Drums and bass keep the track moving with understated confidence, while guest vocals from Sara Andreasen add extra layers and texture to the arrangement. Recorded at Studio Möllan in Malmö, Sweden, the production led by Emil Isaksson alongside Daniel Pedersen, with mixing and mastering by Søren Vestergaard at The Shelter feels spacious, refined, and thoughtfully restrained.
