Tunsi – My Feet

Sometimes you hear a track and immediately know the artist gets it. That’s exactly what happened when I first played Tunsi’s new single “My Feet.” This isn’t some watered-down version of hip-hop trying to chase trends. This is the real thing.

The beat hits you right away. It’s got that gritty foundation that reminds me why I fell in love with hip-hop in the first place, but there’s something fresh happening with the electronic elements weaving through. Tunsi clearly studied the masters you can hear echoes of those classic East Coast sounds but he’s not copying anyone. He’s building on that legacy.

Tunsi

What really grabbed me was his flow. It’s confident without being cocky, smooth but with enough edge to keep you paying attention. When he delivers that hook “Walking down the street with my feet, you cannot alter me” there’s something in his voice that makes you believe every word. In a genre where authenticity gets talked about constantly, Tunsi actually embodies it.

The production work deserves credit too. Everything sits exactly where it should in the mix. The electronic touches could have easily overwhelmed the traditional hip-hop elements, but instead they complement each other perfectly. It’s modern without forgetting where it came from.
