Lucas Rizzo – Hell Of A Heaven

‘Hell Of A Heaven’ is the first track which I have the pleasure to review from Lucas Rizzo. It is a heartfelt piece with a myriad of influences which makes it very easy to fall for at rapid speed.

He has a vibe which is reminiscent of Justin Bieber and Nick Jonas. There is a pop foundation which takes hints from those at the top of the charts. But yet there is an underground and EDM twist to its delivery too. For me, the vocals are the highlight. Lucas has a knack for providing a softly spoken delivery with grit also. He elegantly gets his message across, and he talks about a relationship which is breaking down.

Cleverley, there is a Chester Bennington vibe within his vocals as well which brings something entirely new to the table. He blends an eclectic range of genres in this piece which opens up its reach massively. As a result, I am sure many will enjoy ‘Hell Of A Heaven’ regardless of the genre they usually sway to most. Musically, we hear a deep and dark texture with a bold rhythm taking the lead in the section you would expect a chorus vocal. Yes, he does not put out a structure we hear often, but it works very well. Also, it is refreshing to see an artist stay away from the Status Quo.

Overall, it is a powerful track from the singer who also runs an independent record label Nocturnal Records. Also, it shows his journey as a musician. His last release was in 2018 with ‘Sleeping Beuty’, and although that track is a gem, this one adds even more taste, and it has a hook which you will find hard not to get caught in.
